Graphics argh kids pc

    Ok my kids pc is having an issue. on start up it has awhite screen , either at post or usually when it starts to load up.... amd hd 6670 , some random am2 board . Any ideas?

    Sounds to me like its a driver issue, can you boot it into safe mode? If you can, I suggest taking a look at the video drivers to start with.

    If it's doing it at POST I'd say its more of a hardware issue. Can you swap out the graphics card?

    How old a am2 board?

    Could be the cause.

    Check contacts, make sure the kids haven't filled the fans with cottage cheese or the like, simple things. Simply taking stuff out and plugging it back in again is known to solve a lot of issues.

    Should only take twenty minutes at worst to check everything over before starting to attack windows once more.

    the board posts so no beep codes - seems to be card or monitor i think , flaky vga im leaning towards; a new screen for the missus and the children can have hers .

    mrbungle - its an ECS 7050m-m v2 (guess what i just did lol) - changed the cmos battery so lets give it another wirl :p

    yes - the only vga input it was :p
