    Hi,

At the mo I have the stock cooler on, which is too, too noisey... I have this board -> http://www.awedeals.com/catalog/images/A7V8X-MX.jpg and I want to fit a CNPS7000B-ALCU, but the Aria's power unit is low. I've seen people fit this cooler in, is my socket in a okay place?

The PSU in the Aria is high enough to allow the Zalman flowers, but I don't know if the Socket is too close to the right hand side. Also, make sure the motherboard can actually fit the Zalman :) .

    I got an Antec Aria with a Asus P4R800-vm + Prescott 2.4 and I fitted a Thermalright SP-94+NoiseBlocker SE2 92MM without problems.

    Hope this somehow helps.

    Cheers,
    Mike

    P.S.
I also replaced the PSU fan, an mod worht doing. Pics up shortly.

Well the Zalman site say's Power Supply must not interfere with the heatsink... that's for the A7V8X-MX, which is the same as the MX SE I have.

That's a heavy heatsink :D The Thermalright ALX800 looks good.

    Can't wait :thumb:

I think that means that in a normal ATX case, it cann't be too close to the PSU [which would be above it] as it won't actually fit. It doesn't apply to the Antec Aria and the Zalman 7000 will fit nicely :) . However, if you can fit a more heavy duty heatsink like the Thermalright mentioned above in, then I suggest you do.

Yeah, the ALX800 with a low speed 80mm would do fine, I know it fits too.

I know you want it quiet, but the Aria gets very hot around the processor, so you'll have to hit a compromise between quiet and good cooling :) .

Just letting you know from experience is all.
