I just heard a helicopter fly over my position, unfortunately I was in a forest and didn't see where it went. I want to shoot one down sooooo much. In other news I've now collected every piece of equipment in the game. Huzzah!

I know have a Ghillie suite and thanks to Smiffydude, I also have a L85A2 & NV again and also GPS Thanks again dude, now I just need to find an Alice pack or something bigger, currently using a Czech backpack
I cant get my head around this. I move the mouse around, and it doesnt control the guy, it just looks around, so wasd is forward back and strafe left and right, but as the mouse only moves the guys head, I cant really move around very easily, and then turn left and right is mapped to delete and end? Can the mouse not just move left and right?
Pressing Alt once or twice might fix this or changing the Aiming Deadzone in control setting. I think last nights server reset got rid of everyone's tents and the helicopter has gone as well. Damn it I've spent the last few days scouting and noting down tent locations, all a waste of time now.
Had a fantastic sesh with the guys yesterday. I started out in Cherno, finding some stuff, then getting killed by another player after a battle which I described as ‘like losing my virginity - in that it was fumbled and awkward’ Started out again on the coast where I managed to get savaged by a couple of Zs before picking up an axe and a water bottle. After a short run I came across a town. Despite being down to 8000 blood I had to get closer to find out the name of the town, which turned out to be Kozlovka. Unfortunately I angered two Zs which led to me losing more blood. With instructions from the guys I stumbled across the map towards Pogorevka, but by this time I was in a very bad way and kept passing out and losing blood. Betty went off to masturbate over pictures of my housemate and I had no choice but to log out by a pond while Dizzi attempted a valiant and daring rescue mission on an ATV from Stary. Logging back in, he patched me up like a champ, and after some water I was good to go again. We hopped on the ATV and went tearing over the fields, and met up with TSB to refuel the bike. Then Dizzi and I drove towards the campsite to load up on weapons. We zoomed over a bridge but caught the side and flipped the bike on its side! After a short while we realised that there was no way we were going to be able to flip it onto its wheels again and set off on foot. Gurdeep then logged asking for help as he had somehow ended up stuck on a roof, and we intelligently advised him to jump off, luckily he survived! Dizzi managed to find me a AK in a Deer thingy and I killed my first Z with a projectile weapon (having previously used the axe). We then navigated our way to the camp and I picked up an Alice pack, an M14 (I think?), shitloads of ammo, a PDW, and lots of food. I got taught how to use my bag and make a fire, and we finally DC’d after running off a short way. Phew! More DayZ adventuring to come this weekend!
