A couple months back I commissioned some "development" PC's (or at least that's how I qualified them under the budget) for in-office gaming... I think it's time to put one to use... Gonna get ARMA installed and make some moves!
Bwahahaha. Once again, I got banned from some server for "hacking", aka HDR and gamma turned to max at night. Real reason is killing admin, his two friends and blowing up their GAZ. Shouldn't have lit up on me for no reason. I love hearing pubbies cry over global chat.
Although I don't play DayZ, I don't see how this counts as 'haxorz'... Surely its just playing smart... Gamings natural selection.. Darwin would be proud.
They expect everyone to be blind at night withouth NV goggles, but any guy smart enough could just turn gamma and brightness up to max and you'll have semi-decent visibility.
Been running round for an hour or so this afternoon on Ziip server, only managed to annoy zombies and find a Lee Enfield and 3x auto injectors I am hopeless
I am pretty sure we don't kick for it as far as I am aware. I think it's personal preference, but I don't do it. I view it the same as changing graphics settings in whatever games it worked, so low that there was no vegetation visible and you had clearer lines of sight to your targets. For me, running around in the absolute pitch blank and trying to sneak past zeds and then running the risk of using your torch to add MASSIVELY to the tension and atmosphere of the game.
I was well kitted up but been shot by a regular on the ZiiP plus server CDJ... manned up and headed north and looted on the way, already got a CZ and AK with Alice.. Still no where close to the stuff i did have but at least im back in the game yo!
Thats basically cheating imo and not really in the sprit of the game, i have played arma in missions in complete darkness, the fact the game actually does this is good, most games deliberatley dont make it that dark because of crys of "waaaa its too dark" etc

He consistently claims to be friendly in the side chat. Any news on how the chopper crash spawns are going? I want to get searching crashes for loots.
server got rebooted at 10pm so fresh loot for grabs! CDJ does seem friendly, but we bumped into each other in a barn totally at random, and we was a meter away from each other and we both just opened up and but half a mag in each other... In other circumstances i do believe he would be friendly, i just think we both paniced... i know i did! His friend who he was with gave me an alice pack to say sorry lol.
Well my name in game is mrdomrocks. Reasonably friendly player, to be honest I have been killed more times than been the killer.
This is how my night looks like, gammajack doesn't really help with early night but once the moon comes out... Some may say its cheating, well, its not. Duping, spawning, ESP and so on are hacks.
Ive just downloaded ARMA2 going to give Dayz a try on the ZIIP server, any tips on how to find the server. If I manage to find it and get on be nice to me im a nub !!
