hey guys, i have to write a paper for chemistry and i decided to write on heat dissapation technologies, so i'm asking for all you got. no, i dont want you to write anything for me, i'm not a moron. but those of you who happen to know of good sites reviewing coolers, which coolers are best, metals, etc, and are very kind, might just post them here

for instance, i know that heat pipes are good for air-cooling. the heat pipe starts by the cpu core and extends further away from it, often surrounded by fins. the chemical in the pipe grabs the heat when close to the core and than rises away from the core, taking heat with it, where the fan removes it via air cooling through the fins. water cooling is similar, in that the heat pipe is replaced by water-filled plastic tubing attached to a water block. the water is pumped through the tubing into a resevoir, where heat is released.

my trouble is that i'm not the best googler to date and also have trouble finding articles with cooler reviews [multiple ones tested together]. i just figured i'd start here. i hope you can help, and if you dont feel like it, i understand, but i'd rather you dont post negative; it will do nothing but harm and i do understand i might come accross as a freeloader. i am not

as gandhi says, "I am but a seeker"

    Beats me :worried:

That link has everything you need for a good paper on the cooling principles of different setups, complete with diagrams and such in case you get confused. Good luck!
