ATM, I reckon I'm headed for ACU. Bleh. I assume you mean 'shouldn't' for the last option? I just changed it for you
well i've got a sponsorship from the RAF to do engineering at uni, so i really need to get A's and B's, which is a downer, because imo, computing has dragged down my grades in the other courses because of the work load from it Oh well, gotta get revising.
I'm thinking AAU at the moment. Almost positive I've got 1 A since I got 102/105 on the first exam and 20/20 on both pieces of coursework for my electronics AS. Worked out that I need around 40% on the exam I did last week to get an A overall Computing I'm doing fairly well in, so with a bit of luck will get an A, but I'm happy with a B, bit miffed with anything less. Photography I love doing, just not this course, it sucks bottom quite frankly, and I can't possibly get any better than a D tbh.
I think i'm gonna get B's in most subjects, A's in maybe one or two and if i'm really lucky an A* in maths... Other subjects i've virtually failed from s**t coursework already (ICT+Electronics) nevermind...
Im hoping for an A in music tech, an A in physics a B in chemistry and anything in maths, so long as I dont fail! Im predicted a c or D how am I gonna do comp scienece with that??
Gees u do pretty much the same as me, except i do computing instead of chemistry. Computing really gets on my tits, i actually wish i'd taken chemistry.
I have a week of exams starting next monday going in the order: biology pure maths chemistry statistics physics I am not looking forward to any maths exams or physics I'm less than a week from pure and i think i can blag the exam but stats I'm worried, i don't know ne thing cuz me teacher is inept!
wheres the "I was an idiot when I was younger, so I dropped out of school" option? I swear I get dumber every day . They wont even take me back, you'd think they'd let you back into school so you could actually get a job! (I only have primary school education... what job can you get with that limited knowlege?) /me gets into featal position under computer desk and begins to mumble "its a dream, all a dream... a bad, bad dream"
In all fairness (sorry rtt) thats what i wanted the last choice to be, i should have taken as levels. I think AS levels are seriously fudged. They need to rethink them. I would prefer a 2 year course rather than 2 year each.
on the chemistry papers, they have run out of questions to ask. because there is so little time to learn any decent amount of knowledge in the one year, they cannot ask much, and as such have already pretty much asked all of the questions they can think of.
erk. sorry I was thinking 'hmm he's listed grades, so why would you want to take ASs'... if that makes sense I also think the ASs are fudged. In the space of 3 years you can do GCSEs, ASs and then A2s, and IMO it's far too much. 3 summers of exams... And the step from GCSE to AS is HUGE.
That's the way things work in Scotland, and have done for many years. I don't think it's too much. In fact I think it's a mistake that pupils sitting their A levels haven't done an exam since their GCSEs. There's a world of difference between your GCSEs or standard grades, which involve simply spewing as much information as possible, and more advanced levels where you have to think laterally, quickly and independently. An intermediate level makes this gap less stark. It also gives you more options, if you have qualifications beyond GCSE.
