I've been away 2 weeks I got home yesterday and powered it on today and it is hanging on the loading screen with a solid dash in the corner. Guess I need to try and figure out what's going on!
I was the problem haha. I'd forgotten to Disable IOMMU in the bios I was fortunate it was working as long as it was. It's booting fine again now
Me 3 Your finished build @Sgoaty really does look good, and decent dual fan cooling as well I've seen Andy V-T's 2 builds, which look great, but I really can't see a use for one if it can't run my most played game...
I have never used a boating sim, I'm on the water in some from so much April to Sept that I don't need to do it virtually TBF. No, the most regularly played game is PUBG, which is not Linux compatible because of the anti cheat stuff. Ironically, there still seem to be loads of cheaters with aim bots or wall hacks on there

Aye, been a bit tied up lately, so been a bit quiet here . The main hurdle so far has been audio over DisplayPort/HDMI… An active DP/HDMI converter does get audio out, but as @David reported a while ago, it’s at the wrong pitch. I’d been researching HDMI audio injectors, but it seems there is a native fix: a small Python script that runs every second or so to set the correct frequencies in registers: https://elektricm.github.io/amd-bc250-docs/troubleshooting/audio/. But now there’s another issue: every time I try to drop out to desktop, it just hangs. I plan to wipe the OS and reinstall a fresh copy, and I’ll likely look at unlocking additional CPU cores at the same time. Which will probably mean a new BIOS flash, which means resetting CMOS, which means disassembly… which means time I haven’t had… Out of the box, as it were, it works great . It’s a little under-powered for Expedition 33, what I’m currently playing, but it’s handled other stuff I’ve tried with relative ease.
