Worth it to play AC2 if you never have? Or do you reckon this is good by itself?

Good by itself but I really would play AC2 first. Although it's a stand alone the story does flow from AC:2 to AC:BH.

Yeah, thinking about it. AC2 first, that's a cracking game as well though.

I'd definitely play AC2 first if you haven't, and if you haven't played AC at least go read up on the plot first. A lot of hard work went into the storyline for AC. It's a real shame not to pay attention to it.

With regards to whether or not the game is long enough, if you do all the side missions you can play for ages, just the main ones and it'll be fairly short. However, I may be getting this game purely for the multiplayer. I've been playing it on the 360 since the end of January and it is the best online thing I've played (tbf though I haven't really touched multiplayer games since the FPS stuff I used to play in my early 20s, apart from L4D/2). The match-making is a bit dodgy still, but even just playing Wanted I cannot put it down. Every evening I look forward to my dose of stabbings :D

Given the time gap between the console and PC versions, the alternative interpretation for this article's headline is pretty apt: "Assassins Creed Brotherhood for PC: Dated"

Ridiculous delay! What did they do, finish the console game, ship it out and then go "oh yeah, we probably should do the PC port now" and then start...

Still, have it on pre-order so am still looking forward to the release! Am liking the idea of the multiplayer, it sounds exactly like the Assassins society in Cambridge! (and probably other unis, but that's the one I know of personally)

It has its moments, if you go for 100% synchronisation then some challenges you have to do in a certain way, how your ancestor did it.

Use certain weapons, stay undetected, time limits and so on...
