My 285 has started squealing whenever I move the mouse. It's REALLY irritating. There is a high pitch whine at all times, but it pitches up when the mouse moves.

Something in my machine also lets out a REALLY loud squeak when I power down my machine (akin to the 8800 OMG YOU FORGOT THE POWER CONNECTOR noise) so I'm guessing that's the card too.

I've reseated it (along with the RAM and CPU cooler) and checked the power cables. PSU is a Corsair HX 1000W. System and gfx card is running at stock speeds atm.

    Any ideas?

it's your PSU, something about inductor or capacitor resonance.

Well, I just remembered that the BIOS defaults changed some of my CPU settings - It turned on C1E, EIST control and Intel TURBOBOOSTLOLOL (or something).

on disabling them.... the noise has gone. Hm.

Power down, something still squeaks though :/
