Is the 'hybrid' 8200 able to be used as a Physx 'card'?

I'd rather see hybrid sli on a no thrills matx board than this feature loaded beast, sure, the mainboard has "everything", but if you are going for an amd cpu it wont be a attempt to build a high end gaming system anyway.
good job on the review though.

Hmm, nice idea. I'm not sure actually, it eats up a lot of memory bandwidth so it could be too slow.

anyone else find it slightly amusing that crosshair motherboards aren't crossfire compatible?

Not as amusing as the little lights everywhere that signify 'normal', 'high' and 'crazy' :)

I had that board for a while, and could run dual monitors with Hybrid SLI :) Was nicer than dual monitors with normal SLI because the change between SLI / Hybrid worked 99% of the time instead of 80% of the time.

Unfortunately the Phenom CPU (which I got to 2.9Ghz too) is hopelessly slow. It was slower (actual playing wise, not benchies) than my Intel Quad (3.4Ghz - I know not a 'fair' comparison) with a single GPU. Not a little slower either, the difference was staggering since the Intel system was smooth, while the Phenom though it had the FPS, had constant stutters. Mini-stutters very often, and a big stutter/pause every 10 seconds or so. It made games unplayable if you value great accuracy, such as MOH:Airborne when using a rifle. Incidentally I never had a stutter problem when I ran dual P4 Xeons with SLI.

Can't fault the board though, I thoroughly enjoyed using it and shall remain one of the favourite boards I've ever had. It's not perfect, but it has plenty of character and just keeps on giving. If the AMD Phenom was a great deal faster, there is no question I would be running Phenom with that board.

Have had the board for a while now with a Phenom II 940 and found it to be simply superb.
On air I can get the Northbridge up to 2640Mhz with a 264Mhz FSB and 10 mulit The HT link is running at 2112Mhz and is Rock Stable
Also is 100% stable with a 14x Multi and 3.7Ghz.
Memory Bandwidth and benchmarks are superb this board really does make sense when paired with a Black Edition 9** series
