Graphics Asus dual GTX285 card

This is to knock the 295 of it's top spot shortly then?
Dual 285 chip card with 4gd ddr3

 

Price will be $1000, my estimate.

Dunno much about 3dmark scores, is that particularly good?

EDIT2: Apparently that's slightly above 4870X2 Crossfire, and slightly below GTX 295 SLI.



EDIT3: I wonder if it'll require an external power brick like the dual EN7800GT Dual?



This one was limited to 500 units, IIRC.

EDIT4: D'oh! I forgot about their other card like this, the Asus HD3850 Trinity, 3x HD3850.



When else have they done this? ASUS's e-peen grows exponentially every time they pull something like this off.

Probably not much more than a GTX 295, or just whatever two GTX 285s draw.

 

I have a feeling that the heat will be face melting..

And that 7800GT Dual has a cool HS, but for some reason the PCB looks like a modded MSI board. Why RED????

On the other hand, I wonder how that HD3850 did...

And on the other foot: Anyone waiting for a HD4890X2 by Asus?

 

If it IS $1000, then forget that!! I'll just get another 295.

 

And it can be used in quad-SLI too...

 

If only it was more than a limit run of 500 or 100 units...

It'll still be hellishly expensive, though...

 

This is reminiscent of Sapphire's Atomic Cards, They were bloody awesome, but so limited that it wasn't a benefit as a whole.
