    Last Summer Miodrag denied any such thing would ever exist as there was no market for it, so I'm delighted to see something other than an eVGA effort out there.

    and Intel.... come on!!! Either release the Xeons or tell us that standard Core i7 Extreme 3980X will be able to work in pairs....

    Nah the standard one will never have two QPI links. But a dual Xeon socket ASUS board, this intrigues me. Must know more, NAO! :lol:

    Hope it isn't like the Z7S fiasco, almost every single one of those boards exploded. Go do a search on XS if you don't believe me.

    my first dual CPU mobo was the Asus PC DL Deluxe.. may go back to them..... but the SR-x looks so tempting

    True, though I have a penchant for used parts.

    This, however, was not my computer but a LOT of boards that the crunchers on XS had. 20-some odd boards, all failed in the same way. It was observed as part of a general trend that the Z7S simply had underdeveloped power phases. Killed most of the boards, even those running at bone stock that had never been OCed.
