Anybody know when ASUS will be releasing their 1015N and 1215N netbooks? Some sources have said "Q3" and others have said "June"; either way, release timing is vague. The 1015N (10") and 1215N (12") will be ASUS's most powerful netbooks to date, and will feature Intel's new 1.5GHz Atom N550 dual-core chip and NVIDIA ION 2 w/Optimus, enabling GPU switching between the integrated GMA3150 and the ION 9400M, sort of like an automatic transmission on a car. The performance increase from the 1201N will be small, but because of Optimus, the battery life should be much better. The 1201N's sub-par battery life and overly high energy consumption is what's preventing me from buying it now. In the mean time, the new 1201PN is out, featuring ION 2 with no Optimus and disappointingly weak N450 single-core CPU.
