OCUK are doing a good 'today only' deal on a custom Palit 1070..£360

    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pali...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-03n-pl.html

That will be as cheap as they are likely to get in the current climate..

As for paying £325 for a 1060...HAHA!!! Asus, you really are a price gouging tw@ of a company, just do everyone a favour and pull out of the UK market, because you obviously do not take it very seriously with comedy mark ups like that.

It does seem a bit stupid, it's a cracking 1060 but just too expensive, the 1070 is only very slightly more and waaay quicker. I've no idea why you buy this.

    Moronic pricing.

Around 10% more money will get you 30% more performance.

Asus prices in general are way to high on gpus now, motherboards they are a good bargain but gpus the premium on the Strix and even FE cards where available has been crazy from them.

Even if it settled at £300 it would be too expensive. This card is priced at the level I expect to see a 1060ti if it's ever launched. Asus have gone crazy on both AMD and Nvidia pricing this gen. Can you imagine a Asus Titan X we will have £1400 please or something just as crazy. This card is a 40% mark up on the standard card. Which is batshit mental.

its a nice review as always though.

I was hoping the 1060strix would be my next upgrade as my r280x is great but kills my electric bills. But at that price may have to think about getting a 980.

Don't buy a 980, the 1070 is not a great deal more and a significantly better buy. 980 Prices will likely tumble soon.

If the review was about a 1070 at £325, then I'd say it was a great deal. But for a 1060, that price is waaaaay over the top. Nice looking card, but looks mean nothing compared to performance.
