Seconded on this. I like these all-in-one blocks for motherboards, kinda like fullcover GPU blocks but applied to motherboards; There should be more of these for regular boards too!

Sadly the usual FC design doesnt cool as well as the impingement design favored by normal blocks, this EK one being the exception as it combines impingement core design with the FC design. Pretty unique in this regard

Yeah the EK does look a little more refined! I'll have to ask the Asus UK PR for another sample of the Impact to test the BP and EK blocks on it!

I need one for my next project. Would buy one now if they were available, but both BP and EK seem to dither and not give any release date. Bloody frustrating!

I would love for there to be one for the Asus Z87I-Pro, would be an instant purchase. I wonder how different the layout is to the Impact's?

I have a feeling they want separation in release dates...I dunno, the EK block should be with me any day now and the BP block I was told i would have to wait a week or so....

I will ask what the score is.

If EK does a gold-played version, that would be grand.

Thanks for the update, cant decide which one I want lol, prefer the look of the Bitspower but performance wise, EK looks like they have it in the bag... decisions...

Yeah, it's a bit like that. B NEGATIVE may be able to do a comparative test.

Get it gold-plated yourself. I've seen too many issues with their plating failing. Lost a whole loop to it, I did.

Hmm, considering a super compact watercooled scratch build and these looke awesome.

The bitspower looks nicer but the EK looks like it'll do a much better job of cooling as it has an impingement design and probably thinner fins than the 0.5mm on the bitspower block... Looking forward to the testing! Any idea of price, and of what metal the grey metal is on the EK block (imagine it won't be aluminium, and hope if it's nickel plated copper EK have learnt from their previous poor attemps at plating- would prefer all copper really).

That silver plate is almost certainly plated steel,it is doubling up as a hold down

Might be stamped stainless steel? EDIT: ninja'd by B NEG!

Luckily Birmingham (UK) has a quite famous jewelry quarter. :D
