Motherboards Asus Maximus IV Extreme (P67) or Asus P8Z68 V Pro/Gen3

    So I'm in the market for a mobo and I've narrowed it down to these two. Basically it's a choice between a top of the range P67 board or an upper-mid-range Z68 board. The price difference is around £50, with the ROG board (obviously) being the more expensive.

    So which one do you guys think I should go for. I don't really care about Smart Response because I'll just install my OS on a separate SSD, but the Z68 might still be worth it. Advice?

    If it's for overcloking go with the P67.

    Something less extravagant will probably be sufficient.

    It comes down to: do you really need Gen3 PCIe upgrade in the future? Or do you prefer the ROG style/features in your system?
