A couple of days ago my computer wouldn't recognize any of my USB products, like my wireless usb adapter, belkin 4 port usb adpater or my wireless mouse, But it does recognize my web cam. My external hard drive also gets recognized but its running very slow.

    Any advice, im stuck!

Sounds to me like it's only running at USB 1.1 speeds, I'd reinstall the drivers that came with the motherboard, or download the latest ones.

Well the thing is i've re-installed my system twice, one using vista and one xp and it still does not work. i think its hardware related?

    EDIT:
When connecting a usb 1gb stick it says that my device will fuction at a reduced speed, it says that i need to add a HI-SPEED USB Host controller. The thing is i'm using the usb ports on my motherboard, and i have installed all software & drivers on the supplied CD.

Are you using XP or Vista? Do you have XP SP2 installed?

Other than that... have you tried updating your mobo chipset drivers

I've installed first with XP, with all the lastest drivers, then i installed Vista with the lastest drivers but still no luck. I just don't see how my usb ports could all of a sudden switch to 1.1 and nothing else, i think i will reset the CMOS and see if its anything todo with the BIOS.

Am using a similar mobo, no probs here, all I can recommend is installing/reinstalling the latest chipset drivers.

    xp 32bit
    vista 32bit
    vista 64bit

    :blah:

Sorry to revive an old thread but my mobo has now done the same, I didn't upgrade anything, was running XP SP3, reinstalled OS and still the same. :(
