I couldn't be bothered any more with all the worrying about whether the ZR24W would cause me a headache so I just ordered a Dell U2410 (with the monitor checking service) from CCL. What the hell, it's only debt. I look at it as helping the UK economy. That's what I told my wife anyway:D

    Let's hope all goes smoothly.:worried:

Debt helps the economy... LOL. Debt is what screwed (and continues to screw) the economy. :D

At least you finally got yourself a nice display! :)

Shame the first one had a fault :( Got mine november last year and haven't had a single problem with it. At the end of the day thought the Dell is the better monitor. The blacks are blacker on the Dell and I'm sure if you sat them side by side you could notice the difference. I ordered mine direct off HP's website, used a voucher code for 5% off and it came very quickly. Did the same thing for my Laptop. Hope your new Dell works out for you :thumb:

Better to sell a kidney for the U2410 than for an iPad 2. Guess, which one will be obsolete first... :p

    Hmm.. I have no idea...
I do know when a CFL transformer is about to break, it does that sound. The rpoblem with CFLs, is that it gradually breaks.

If you got it from Dell (and still in the return window), called Customer Service, not Tech support, so that you get a new monitor, and not refurbished.
