Oh wow! First time I've ever won anything!
same here. many thanks!
oh **** i won lol.
I need to make some new arrangements.
It'll be worth it! On a side note.. why are trains so damn expensive??
I've got a lan party to go to that weekend! damnit I wish I could drive!
Dont go on Friday then you'll have some new bits to play with at the LAN
OK, devised a cunning plan. brb lol
Have you tried checking www.thetrainline.com? And also try and travel after 9:30am...
Yeh, done that. £34 return from Nottingham traveling after 10:30.
they covers travel expenses, but does it cover london underground? i'll need a day pass in zone 1
I think It's going to be too hard for me to get there, I might have to ask them to give the prize to someone else :'(
wuyanxu: It'll be total travel costs up to £50. Luckily I've still got an Oyster card with £5 on it. You only need to get to Tottenham Court Road tube station which is actually not a long walk from Euston rail station. Walking from St Pancras or Kings Cross isn't that far either. I'd say 40min.
Yes, of course - you get up to £50 to help you get there, which (we looked into this) will cover most of the UK travelling after 10 am or so...
Aww man that sucks seriously. Hope you can work something out. Where are you trying to come from?
Any qs, about travel costs etc, drop Emily an email (her address is in the email I've sent out to the winners)
Manchester I'd have to lug my LAN gear around with me all day, and even with just my laptop that's going to KILL me.
Sorry, I forgot to actually read the forum rather than the blog page. I would have worked it out from Stockport!
Unless I can get someone else from around here to win next week's prize, and doesnt mind lugging me and my stuff to london and dropping me off at the lan on the way back....
Edit: Plan is starting to come together.... the main problem is cost, as both my train tickets comes to over £100... which is just lolamount.
Edit Pro Plus: Better plan as emerged, looks like I might be able to make it!
£100 from Manchester to Euston? Thats madness. Probably cheaper on the Megabus.
