BT have cut the cost of providing ADSL to ISP's from £25 to £14.75 a month.

IPS will pass the cuts on to us - Pipex have already cut their monthly cost to 19.95 per month, + VAT (about £23)

    Openworld will undoubtdly follow suite.

Huzzah!!! not long before before I jettison the slowdem!!!:D

better have a backup plan... usually, in the states, when broadband companies drop prices to compete, they usually go out of business.. :D just ride the wave, take advantage, and when you get "server cannot be found" move on

    BTOpenWorld's statement:

"BTopenworld - broadband price reduction announcement

BT has today (26 Feb) announced more good news about its wholesale broadband products. Like most of you, BTopenworld welcomes this news and sees it as a key event in the development of Internet access services in the UK.

Today's announcement will mean a fall in rental prices for all existing broadband access customers. We will also shortly be announcing a launch date for our self install products reflecting the cheaper wholesale prices.

The new self install product will enable customers to install ADSL broadband themselves quickly and easily, without having an engineer visit. This is a cost-effective and convenient way to get high quality, high speed Internet access

If you would like to sign up for the BTopenworld broadband self install product for the first time, click on this link to register your interest. We will then contact you via email soon after launch.

If you're an existing Home 500 or Business customer you will be contacted via email as soon as we understand how the new BT Wholesale pricing structure will affect you. In the meantime there is no need to do anything.

Customers who have ordered any BTopenworld Broadband access products recently will still have their orders processed as normal. If you would like to cancel you may do so but we would advise you wait until we have announced our new self install product and our new prices."

as someone that was a long time @home user that just had to get new email accounts on the cox.net domain, get a 3rd party email account to redirect your mail so you dont have to change emails if your provider dies

Ok, ehat BT have done is dropped all prices from £25 to £15 per month for all ADSL 512/256 lines and also for £30 per month for 1024/512 lines . In May they will be bring out a 2048/2048 SDSL line for £50 per month. One thing BT have done is upped the price of installation to £210, which sucks a little but, you can still do the DIY job for £50. :)

£29.99 a month instead of £39.99 for current Home500 customers.

How is it Pipex can do theirs for 23.40 or something...me smells a rip off! Oh well a tenner off isn't that bad.
