If you just want to use the gfx cards for tv out for a htpc/pvr etc and your using SDTV (standard definationTV) and not HDTV (High defination TV) then the gf 440mx is better in my view (I have both 440mx and 9200 in my pvr pcs). The reason being is that ATI reds tend to bleed on SDTV resolution.
For gaming then the GF440mx is faster but not a lot and both are not really gaming cards.
For a cheap tv tuner card look for a card with SAA7133/4 chip (4 is for PAL and 3 is NTSC going from memory but could be wrong) I believe Aldi are doing an Tevion (Rebranded K-world) xpert 7134 for £25.

Well, my Dell PC with a Radeon 9000 Pro AIW works really well for HDTV, and I haven't seen a problem when viewing DVDs or web videos (which are about SDTV resolution).

if a tv tuner is all you want then just a stand alone tv tuner card, no sense in buying a whole new video card. I still use my original radeon AIW for my pvr machine, with a 1 gig p3 and 512MB memory, works great. besides i couldn't see myself throwing away a video card that i payed over 400 dollars for when it was new. :wallbash: man i hate computers!!

The ATi All-in-wonder 9000 would be the best out of that lot. Going from memory the mm100 and mm200 (they look similar to the first 2 in your list) don't work with XP as there are no drivers. Well there are standard BT8x8 drivers but the sound doesn't work for the cards.

It's apparently a common problem with the tv out on the cheaper ATI cards (cost cutting), I don't see it on my card but I'm not that fussy on the picture or sound quality.
Also if your using HDTV then you won't be using s-vid as s-vid doesn't provide enough info.

If you want a tv card I have an old BT878a card for a £10er. Just message me for info.

That's why good monitors use DVI or VGA.
According to a file I downloaded a few months ago, you need a video card with an integrated MPEG-2 decoder (Radeon series) for DTV to work.
