Good for a media centre PC I guess, but not for a high spec rig, 128mb is outdated. It would however save PCI space I guess (Not needing a TV card).

Shame the card has a rage 200 chip not the newer rage 550 chip as it probably would have helped in the picture quality on the analogue side. Also I didn't notice in the review if the card supported interactive features of dvb-t such as mheg5 and electronic program guide for schedule recordings or just to see whats up coming, it would be nice to know if the software supports it. I doubt it though as most tv card manufacturers seem to have problems supporting mheg5 and dvb-t radio.

The card is not available for purchase yet, and as such we don't have an expected retail price at this moment in time.

I'm not sure about mheg5, but it definitely has electronic program guide in the states - I've never been able to get it working properly in the UK. DVB-T might help on that front though as it was capturing the screen caps by program name rather than channel.

In the UK the 7/8 day electronic programme guide on dvb-t is broadcasted over the air, I suspect your saying that the card uses something like gemstar or some other tv listing downloaded from the net. I also suspect ATi will use something like www.tvtv.co.uk if they do provide listings for the UK, which in my view is not ideal.

Any more info on the Scart output? Presumably it outputs an RGB signal? Is the res limited to standard ATI TV Out presets or are you able to custom res so that you can output a true widescreen res? Just wondering as there are many who currently use a custom cable and this could be the out of the box solution others have been looking for.

Shame there seems to be no way to get an audio signal to the scart.

Thanks for clearing that up... I was actually refering to the specific Scart output on the Radeon which may or may not allow a line in signal to be transmitted with video. A custom cable would be pretty easy to make either way that would combine the video with an external audio input but I was thinking about an off-the-shelf solution for us RGB Scart advocates.

Also just out of interest who's arnold when he's at home? :hehe:

EDIT: Having said that a closer look at the multi-cable I/O lead that comes with the All in Wonder you can clearly see what looks like a line out input to the Scart so that you could connect it easily to you soundcard to transmit audio. Now just interested in resolution support.

I don't know but if you tell me which output you want me to find that out for - I'll have a look and roll my Rear Projection in to my office if need be. :)

Was the issue of scart connecivity ever answered?

I need to know if it outputs RGB and if I can set a res of 1024x576 for instance. (or other true w/s resolutions)

    Thanks

    Dave
