    I've heard rumours of a new ATI 5800 series card called the HD5830 but cant find anything reliable on the web. anyone know owt about it?
    performance is supposed to be about the same as the HD4790 and the GTX275

    Supposedly should have been out this week, but they apparently found some last-minute bug in the PCB. The card should be closer to the HD5850 and HD5870 than to the HD5770.

    Well, use your imagination. 5770s weigh in at £130, and 5850s at £220+. Its logical to assume that the 5830 will be around £180.

    I can confirm we've seen nowt of the HD 5830 guys - looks like you'll have to wait a little longer.

    Just wish they'd issue a release giving "expected" release dates, at the mo. everyone is just guessing :sigh:

    As I can't get what I wanted and Amazon have mucked me about I'll hold on for a week or 3 yet.
