Wouldn't run on my 6800 unfortunately. The error log says:

thats because you need to download the videos.

the exes only work on x1800 series cards as stated in the article

Well, I actually seem to be making some progress getting the exes working on my 6800. I've gotten past that initial error and to the loading screen. I'll see what else I can come up with. And I was only trying because Tim asked people to report back in the forums whether or not the demos worked on a 6 or 7 series nvidia card. Or at least that's what I thought he was saying from:

from your post it seemed like you where running it on a nvid without knowing it was for ati only.

    anyway

    toyshop was amazing!
    parthenon was just meh
    the assasin was good too.

some how i can just see these as a "look what it can do, forget about all the delays and non releases, watch the pretty videos"

Well, I got both demos to load but but they keep throwing ShaderLib errors at me so I suppose it's futile. Anyway I downloaded the videos and yeah, Toy Shop was insane. It makes me even more excited to see what game developers are going to be able to accomplish with that kind of power.

What i want to know: is there a nude patch? :p

Seriously, I'm sure those new ATi cards will blow the pants off my ageing GF6800GT (AGP!), but I'm holding out for a pair of GF7800 GTs, maybe GTXs, hopefully with a 512MB frame buffer...

The toyshop looks amazing. But i do not want gamemakers to make their games like this. It is unplayable like this. I mean, who cares about enemys when you are drooling all over the levels. :D

So, just to make sure, should the exes work on a 9800pro?

Good eye candy, it'll be interesting to see how much of that detail translates into gaming and other applications.
