    Hi all,

so putting my new pc together. and at the point to attach my corsair h100.

On the board where the screws, im guessing would go though the front of the mobo and attach to the bracket on the back. There is no hole. Is this the norm and i have to break though with the screw. Or is it a more serious problem..

    Hi,

    Its a Asus P9X79 PRO.

Pics arent great quality can do better ones in the light tomorrow. But hopefully you can see. basically everything seems fine except there isnt a hole though the motherboard to attach the screws.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

The X79 boards already have a backplate fitted and it includes the mounting holes which I think are M4. You may need to get the revised screws from Corsair to get it fitted.

There's a bit about the mounting here

well kind elf you have stopped a most hanus mistake from happening where i was about to smash though the mobo to get them on!

tried using the different set of screws that came with it and they fit in snug as a bug in a rug!

Thanks i shall now sheepishly run back and see if i can finish up before day break!
