    Hi,

In the advanture on building my own case from scratch, I found that I need quite a lot of pieces from existing ATX cases.

I however don't have one lying around and buying a new one and destroy it is not considered due to shipping charge.... (very expensive, not worth it :( )

Is there any place I can get the various pieces? Like motherboard tray, back panel, screwless pci mounting, drive cage, etc...

I saw some in the USA but shipping is a killer (again). PCMod wants to charge me $58 to ship a motherboard tray ($35)... so far I've seen none in the UK.

If anyone can point me to a retailer that sells those, I'LL KISS YOU :p any help is much appreciate...

(Or, anyone got a junkie ATX case and can have some pieces to sell/donate to me?)

    Thanks a lot.

I think it would probably be best to either find a really cheap case and pull out all the stuff you need, or a second hand one. If you put a notice in wanted, peeps may donate bits? I have looked about for similar stuff, most of it is quite expensive on its own. I have recently pillaged an old case I had for a load of stuff!

Thanks for the info, but as I said, shipping is a killer!
And I REALLY want server cases features...
Like... screwless PCI/AGP cards mount, slide-in drive rails, removable motherboard tray, etc...

The cheapest I can find (on eBay) is about 70pounds (about US$100) including shipping, which is too much money for something that is gonna be destroyed...

    EDIT:
70pounds for server case I mean.

It depends if you want a load of crap or not, If people donate stuff it means theres usualy something wrong with it I would go for CrOaKeR's first idea, by something realy cheap and make something of it. If not then find a small computer shop somewere because they usualy sell brick-a-brack items, maybe find something in there.
