Audigy keeps getting too loud! HELP!

    After finally getting my Audigy to work in Win XP i now have nother prob. If i install the sofware and like the mixer and audioHQ control panel and stuff, then whenever i reset my comp and windows reloads, the volume is too high and everything sounds distorted until i briefly click the volume slider in te mixer...


    why on earth does it do this? is there a fix?

    i used to get that too, dunno how i cured it. Just seemed to rectify itself!?! u tryed getting the latest drivers from creative?

    yeah tried the XP update and its fine now

    its such a dodgy card, it cannot be installed unless you install windows with the card in the PCI slot already.

    but the sound quality is incredible i think youll agree :)

    Have you tried turning the volume down on your speakers? :eek:

    Yea, but every time he reboots the volume gets reset to the top.
