Anybody else well and truly p****d off with Napoleon (Todt)? What he and Mr Montazemelo did to Rubens this weekend was utterly dispicable. I'm not a Ferrari Fan, but I could at least admit admiring the way the team has dominated the season so far, due to it's superior car and drivers. Not any more. If there's any justice in the world, Ferrari should be piped at the post at the end of the season for both championships. Not going to happen though....
Ooooh - looks as if there could be some justice after all.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/english/motorsport/formula_one/newsid_1984000/1984693.stm But everyone knows, that if your car's red, you'll be let off...
They proved it! Ferrari suck azz! Rubens has only one victory to his name and they deny him a second! There are a few things I would love to know the answer to, when Rubens signed his contract did he write "No.2 4 ever!" Also if Schu felt soooooo bad about taking the first place off of Rubens why didn't he refuse to? It's not as if Schumacher is going to be fired from Ferrari now is it? I had tickets booked for the Belgian GP, they are now cancelled, I'm not paying any money to go see an organised **** up! Ferrari are going to kill the sport!
I'm still fuming too. It wouldn't have been so bad if M.Schumacher had only been a couple of points in the lead of the Driver's stats, but he's now DOUBLE the points of his closest rival!?! F1 has been getting more & more boring lately with Ferrari dominating all over the show, but now with this... what's the point?! Ross Brawn even said they had engineered the entire thing from the pits & that it wasn't a race! Anyone else think that Schumi's "kind" gesture to Rubens on the podium was only as a result of the booing he was getting? My idea for the FIA's "punishment" would be for M.Schumacher to have to swap places with Jacques Villeneuve. Now that could make it more fun to watch :dude:
!!!! I thought that pic was the biz! Lada would probably be faster than the present Honda engine! Could be good if Jordan got VW, they could put a GT TDI into it! TDI's rule!
Re: They proved it! If you watch the last 5 seconds you can see Shumacher was reluctant to overtake his team mate and he probably wouldn't have won the race if Barrichello hadn't breaked so hard; There was only 0.182th of sec of a second between them as they crossed the line... Still it was an appalling decision, Shumacher being 21pts in the lead going into the race. What the hell are they worried about!?
From the BBC article listed earlier... I quit watch NASCAR racing when single teams started dominating too much. Not much fun to watch the same people win all tht ime. This is pretty poor form form the Ferrari team and BOTH drivers. I would be more upset though if it weren't a Ferrari driver that slowed down.
Well, I'm a massive Ferrari fan, because of the history and everything (I cannae be bothered to explain everything...) and I will continue to be a huge fan of both Ferrari and the sport. Now that little disclaimer type effort is out of the way; I find it absolutely disgusting that not only could the result be engineered in such a way as to destroy a day's racing, but also Ross Brawn's attitude in the post race interview with ITV was absolutely appalling. He states that "it was no race". In any other sport this would mean huge repremands, fines, bans or whatever, so I see no reason why it should be any different for Formula One, yet just because Ferrari is Ferrari there probably will not be any action. However, that is not what I am most bitter about (and believe me, I am very bitter). What is inexcusable about the occurence in the last few yards of the Grand Prix is that it reflects extremely badly on the sport as a whole. In a time when Formula One is facing recession and potential instability it is the time when the fans are needed most. Ferrari's antics can only damage the reputation of the sport, not only making a mockery of the whole ethos of Formula One, but also taking the fans for mugs. They paid their hard-earned to watch a Grand Prix, a race from the premier category of motorsport.... not to see an occurence of which, according to Brawn, had had the result predetermined. It was a nice gesture from Michael Schumacher to give Rubinho the trophy for winner, and I believe it to be genuine, no matter what the press would/will say about his so-called arrogance (now's not the time to get into that, however). What I find strange, however is that Ferrari are being brought in front of the World Council because of the happenings on the podium, not the racetrack. I.e. they are facing potential bans because Michael pushed Rubens onto the top step of the podium, which he thoroughly deserved, as was his sheer dominance over the whole weekend. Ferrari have well and truly shot themselves in both feet and arms. In a time when Formula One is having trouble finding allies, this is really the last thing it needed..... Sorry for the rant, but to see a sport I follow so passionately manipulated in such a cheap manner, quite simply, makes me feel sick.
If you look at schumacher he really did try to disobey the order but barricalo braked very hard just b4 the line . I don't either of the two drivers wanted it its the idiots in charge of ferrari that have destroyed the ferrari image forever of you ask me
No need to be sorry - I think you've just summed up the feeling of every F1 fan around the world... Enzo Ferrari must be spinning in his grave. Oh - and the FIA summoning Ferrari to explain themselves? Yep, but not about the team orders! Apparently it's to do with the going on's on the podium after the race!!! Good God!!! ITV-F1 - PODIUM ANTICS UPSET FIA
Damn Geocities! I have 16 reasons why motor sport still rules but i can't get geocities to work!!!! I can upload images no problem but they won't appear!
Re: 16 Reasons why Motor Sport Rocks! Christ that's a lot of red X's Remote Linking won't work from Geocities unless you rename your files to .txt from .jpg mate. And please, not so many images unless they're all very relevant Just post the links if ya must show us, hmmmkay?
