Well I've gone and done it!!!! Just ordered my SN95G5 V2

My main rig at the moment is a Lian-li With a asus A7N8X motherboard with a AMD XP3000+ CPU
    1 Gig mixed memory
    X800pro graphics card
    74gig Raptor
    160 gig SATA

So for my new shuttle I've also ordered
    Corsair TwinX 1024-4400C2.5
    250gb Maxtor Diamond Plus 10
    AMD Athlon 64 3500 Winchester 90nm

Putting my X800Pro in there and my Raptor.

Should be getting it tomorrow, just hope I've made the right choice for memory, heard so many horror stories about memory in the SN95G5.. :eeek:

I'm getting ready for some series Gaming.... :D

What are these memory problems? Sorry to be a dummy but could someone point me in the direction of information about this?
Considering getting one myself when the price drops ;)

Dunno about other shuttles but mine wasn't happy running my ram sticks (both Corsair) in dual channel mode.

I've had memory problems with mine, as long as you use matched pair's you will be fine , just don't try two single sticks together as the memory controller on the sn95g5 is very picky!

Other than that its a great machine :)

I've brought a matched pair. They was recommended in custom PC the other month, so I think they should be ok. Just checked with initial city link. My parcel was loaded on a van this morning at 7:38 this morning, not long now.. :D

the ram is fine, I've had the same ram in my shuttle. current top of the range will work in the shuttle. unlike Soltek and Biostar.

    Well It came, Installed everthing.

It even booted first time, no probs what so ever.. :D

I can't beleive how quiet it is compared to my old system... :jawdrop:

Everything is rock solid, playing Medal of Honor not crashed once, my old system did, enoying when you are kicking ass.. :naughty:

Ran 3D mark2001se I ran that one because I'd ran it on my old system and I wanted to compare the difference.

16,300 on my old one 19,800 on the shuttle. thats with everything running stock.

    Well Pleased.. :thumb: :thumb:

shuttles are great spesh these new 64bit jobbies.

start overclocking in the bios matey you'll be suprised how well they fly. Heat isn't a problem because the smart fan kicks in.

When I first switched it on, it did scare me.. :eeek:

The fan starts at full speed, but that's only while it's booting for a few seconds.

Gave it a little run the other night, on Medal of Honor and the fan stayed really quiet, it sped up a little but still way better than my old system.. :thumb:
