It wouldn't be so bad if it was only on phones but it's all over the 'music' channels! Every break you get 2-3 different jamster adverts, be it the 55million crazy frog tones, fluffy, dragon or the frankly rubbish 'I want that one' charts.

DIE JAMSTER, YOU NEED TO DIE!

I can't put up with anymore of this ringtone crap either tbh, it's all chavved up rubbish which circulates schools quicker than a porn mag in prison. When I get my Razor next month I'm gonna stick Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson on it and be done with it :)

I have never paid for a (polyphonic) ringtone. Ever.
    The Frog MUST Die!!

Edit - The ad's been playing a few times every ad break on ITV for a few days now. *shudder*

Emma has the Crazy Frog ringtone.

I rock out to either (monophonic) Airwolf Theme or (polyphonic) Super Mario Bros. Theme.

I'm so cool that it hurts.

*n (actually wants Signs by Snoop for his phone :hip: )

I don't see why people want to embarass themselves as they do with these ringtones, on the bus for example. If my phone started screaming like the "crazy frog" or tweeting like that little yellow bird I want to smash with a frying pan, I would certainly not pick up the phone to let everybody know that I am stupid enough to buy this junk.
Ever since the dawn of mobile phones, I have hated it when people have classical symphonies or old rock tunes as their ringtone. It's just lame.
What I hate even more, is those ringtones that sound like birds. Why would people want that?
When I bought my phone, it did not have one single normal ringtone, only stupid songs. I had to search for a long time before I found a ringtone that actually resembles a normal phone. However, most of the time I have my phone on vibrate, as it does not bother the people around me, and it does not make me look like a 13-year-old whenever my phone rings.

Nota Bene: My phone is set to vibrate - the ringtone is only heard when my alarm goes off.

Whilst we're on the subject, where can I get a DECENT ringtone from for a one off price that wont send me 3million 'text flirt' style texts? Copa cabana is a tad ghey tbh...

Emz, just google a midi site, download what you want then copy it from your PC to the phone.

Thats pretty simplistic granted, but that's the concept anyway. :)

Yeah, the Jamster adverts are annoying as hell, but one day i started receiving ringtones from one of those 5 digit numbers. I knew i hadn't given my mobile number to anyone except the people in my phone book and my employer, and as I had only had the phone for two months I was a bit confused. Anyway, there wasn't any details in the text, and no instructions on how to stop them, just a ringtone that i never listened to and deleted straight away.

Fast forward to the monthly bill, and i notice that i've been charged a total of £6 from 4 of these damn texts. A quick call to Vodafone and they track the number to Jamster. So, i phone Jamster up to complain, and they said that i had willingly signed up to the service a year ago. Even though i had only had the phone a few months. Back on to Vodafone, and it seems that the number i have been using was assigned to a different phone, and as part of their number recycling policy I got the number when i signed up. Joy. Thankfully the Voda guy was very helpful, and even got the charges for the text refunded :)

Now, the rare occasions that my phone is not on 'silent', my phone either plays the CTU ringtone, or if i need something loud and noticeable (say if im working by the noisy server, or in my club), i have my custom ringtone that shouts obscenities (taken from a rather jolly Nasenbluten song) :D Must make sure i change that tone if im at work with others though, it's rather offensive!
