There's something with modders and cheesecake. Nearly all of us love it. Even those not on Bit.

Also, we need a cheesecake smiley

EDIT: Bindi, I have to agree with Moyo2k. Chocolate cheesecake is my last choice for cheesecake.

 

I don't like pretty much anything chocolate, but that just means other folks can eat my share when I'm around.

If the base was dry, then yes, but it looks like it might have been a little on the every so slightly soft side = yummy yummy yum yum

So... Bit-techers... opinions on my cheesecake appears to be split. I must admit I don't like that pointy wagging finger picture!!
Badders loves base. We have always felt that there is not enough base on cheesecakes and therefore decided to increase ours to a level we wanted. It was a very soft, moist base, so not dry, and worked very well with the creamyness of the topping.
I'm not sure how well my cheesecake would travel but would be happy to make one for you guys if you wanted to try it! lol!
As for the chocolate debate - can i ask for clarification? Are you against chocolate in with the cheese topping, or is it against a chocolate on the topping (for e.g the chocoate sauce on the profiteroles)??

The only criticism i can think of, is maybe you could have had rasberry or blueberry or blackberry on top of the middle cheesecake, or perhaps a mix.

I'm the same, i hate chocolate and most overly sweet food. Its the 'wtf?!' reaction you get from people when you say you don't like chocolate that is funny.

Right it's Badders again. The missus will have to get her own account/staff cheesecake writer position if she wants to carry on the merits of cheesecake discussion!

NB - this will produce enough mixture for a 3/4" thick base.

Made or bought some profiteroles, put them on top of the cheesecake, poured chocolate over?

As for the chocolate issue, I'm a hater too. People are so ingrained to the fact that everybody loves chocolate, that most people do a double take when I tell them I don't eat it. Who started this "everyone likes chocolate" myth, anyway?

Chocolate makes me rather ill. so I avoid it as well.

However, this gets my seal of approval. I'm gonna get cheesecake now.
