Just got the defib for the medic last night. I was sitting quite low down the scoreboard to start with, then unlocked defib, and went berserk ressurecting everyone and rockted to the top of the board, . Engineer is might best class so far, the silenced weapons are excellent for stealth, and the AT min is awesome in bottlenecks. Manged to take a chopper down with the RPG too yesterday, no tracer dart or anything, . I'm liking assult too, XM8 P is pretty awesome, that and the F2000, depending on map, close combat, F2000 slightly longer range, XM8 P. Was playing for ages last night, finished at midnight,
For some maps the sniper can be a useful squad addition if they do sit back, spot enemies and provide a spawn point for the rest of the squad. I think a squad with one of each class balances pretty well IMHO!
I agree with the above - although I do seem to struggle getting a decent squad together! (too many sniper lone wolf types on the servers I frequent!)
one medic per squad i'd say! or have a revive limit, or make revive less instant, or not base win condition on the ticket. have you tried to defend against a team almost of medics in infantry-only map such as Nelson Bay? it's impossible!
Can't say I have, but the way I see it? Have two medics, and if one medic goes down, you can still carry on, it could be a case of the last guy of your squad is a medic, revive the other medic, revive the rest. Plus you've got there LMG's for covering fire whist the engineer and assault move round to flank.
The defib works so much better in BC2 than it did in BF2, was really pleased with that. Although the weapon switching and control systems seem a bit clunky. Seems to take ages to go from one motion to another. Can't think of an exact example, but it just doesn't feel smooth.
Well you can just switch out your own kit out for your medic's kit if he's the only one on your squad and you're the last alive, then you become the medic. Medics are essential to all rush games, but they shouldn't be able to revive a whole squad in less than 10 seconds. That's just overpowered. They need a longer recharge time between revives, or make the revives take a few seconds where the medic is vulnerable during that time, like in L4D2. Amongst other things.
Yeah, I agree that the recharge should be longer, 10 seconds between revives? Trouble is with making them that vunerable is that in HC, you'll die...VERY quickly, so a longer revive time wouldn't work, but make the recharge longer would be fine.
The revive is one of the main Mecics main uses, its like making the Rocket Launcher reload animation really really long, or making 40mm Grenades take a minute to reload. I play medic, I get defensive
Am I missing something - I probably am... Been playing a few games online over the last couple of days, and earning points, but never enough to level up in one gaming session. But as soon as I exit the game, my points go back to zero. Do you need to be on a specific type of server for your points to stick?
So punkbuster is needed - can this be added now, I remember seeing at some point on the installation you need to reinstall to add it?
