With the pre-order, bear in mind that the unlocks and the 2 weapons are just things that you get unlocked earlier for you. They are in the game anyway and earnable. Use your class well and you get the class skill points incredibly fast anyway. The Beta seems to be running well and the feedback I have seen on the forums has highlighted anything I have found myself.
Yeh I know the unlocks are unlockable anyway. Got the tracer pistol in the xbox demo already and I've only played for about an hour and a half. Somehow I kept coming 2nd in team too, . Might just pre-order from Play.

Wow, thats weird. I'm better at it on the xbox than on the PC, jawdrop: Although it might just be that everyone else on the PC is ten times better than the people on xbox. Hence making them harder to kill. I mean, I never saw anyone on more than lvl 4 on the xbox. Theres people at lvl 11 on PC with guns that you can't even get on the xbox demo.
Every time i play this game i get more and more excited about the final release. Going to be an amazing game
I really like this game and can't wait til March , only real gripe is the amount of camping recon'splaying their own game of sniper deathmatch.... Anyone else noticed that the window mounted fixed machine guns seem to do very little damage - i opened up on a bunch of attackers at the second defend point last night , clearly hitting them many times but no kills ! Heli's seem to feel very light when compared to bf2 , see lots of heli noobs crashing (me to at the start but i'm used to it now...)
recons do camp, naturally, but I've found the .50cal in the building at the start fantastic at taking them out. Just remember to raise your sights a little. The gun is a little weak for what it is meant to be, but hopefully will be better in Hardcore mode. The heli does feel light, but it flys the same as in BF2 roughly. Can't wait.
I cant get away with this game, it just doesnt do it for me, i had a far better time in BF 2142, and its even made me go prestige mode in MW2, and im enjoying it even more than ever. I do hope everyone who buys this game enjoys it, Maybe one day

The same thing that happened with Modern Warfail 2 >.> I am really looking forward to this game. Can't afford to pre-order it at this time, but once it goes retail I will be all over this and will probably never touch MW2 ever again. Some of the gameplay videos have looked amazing. I am seriously looking forward to this game
I waited a day and a half, and then sent an email to the play.com promocodes emails address mentioned earlier in the thread. Got my code the next day.
The beta is pretty fun. A few issues: 1. Players can blow up objectives with c4. This is pretty stupid. 2. A ton of people are having performance issues. The game will for some, hold a constant 60fps on an 8800gts, but struggle to make it past 20fps on a GTX295. I'm really getting tired of games that run flawlessly on consoles, but my current gen GTX295 and quad core can't handle it? Come on people, optimize your engine! 3. Kill cam can be annoying for snipers as it reveals your position. 4. You can only shoot/melee doors down, and they explode. Why can't I open the door... 5. Crouch toggle please. I will develop carpel tunnel from holding down crouch. 6. My game does not show server pings. 7. I think the game should have a FOV option. The FOV IMO is too narrow on the PC. Other than that it's pretty good. I'm praying that they iron out the bugs so that I can actually run it.
Thats due to the 360 one being a Demo so only up to level 2 (level 3 is 396 million odd xp) and only 1 gun unlock per class.. Where the PC is the beta like the PS3 had in december where everything is avalible
Not so everything. You get the first 3 weapons for each class and a few all-round unlocks. After this the points requirment rockets up to 10 Million. With regard to ping, the G15 comes into it's own here The game has an app for the G15 that gives you server stats including name, number of players, slots and ping. Also gives you game stats and your global stats. Very nice little feature. Still managing to hold onto a positive KDR
Have been playing this a fair bit after finally getting my beta key out of Play.com and am loving it so far. Had to force it to run in dx9 to sort out some aiming issues (something to do with dx10/11 and Win 7) but other than that there's not that many things I can find to complain about. Sure it'd be nice to have a proper server browser, and to know what my ping is, and a toggle for crouch, but it's a beta and i'm sure these things will come along as it progresses. In the meantime I'm having plenty of fun with my trusty M24 .
I'm starting to contemplate cancelling my pre-order. It may just be beause I've been ill for the past 3 days, and in a grumpy mood, and not played the game much. But it seemed a bit too much COD like. Don't get me wrong, it does seem a very good game, I'm just unsure how long it'll keep my interest. It doesn't seem battlefield to me. Also, are the funny colours in the sniper scope just me? Whenever zoomed on the sniper scope, I get sort of a blurring from the outer of the scope, and makes it hard to see anything thats not in the dead center of the scope. I'm undecided.
