I don't suppose there's any chance of changing the server back to conquest is there?

Rush brings out the rage in too many people too quickly, especially when you're trying to attack with a team full of "snipers" who don't contribute outside of the occasional pot-shot (or if you're very lucky - mortar.) Which can be infuriating when you're trying to set off the m-coms by yourself.

At least in conquest they can be put to use camping flags.

It's a bug. There are no reserved slots.

I've seen it report 37/32 if that makes you feel any better.

The game just doesn't suit conquest. The lack of commander just makes it a retarded headless chicken mode. It did the server no good to have it on.

It's so easy to win on rush if players do actually rush! I know this is said rather ironicly due to me generally being a recon dude, but I spent most of my youth clutching a rifle and I aim well =D

Ah, cheers Josh - good to know. Rush is by far the most popular game type probably because, imo, it's the one that forces teams to concentrate on the same goal the most effectively.

If you didn't use a near identical server name, and I didn't have to keep telling people CPC only has one server, I wouldn't have had to mention it. Would I? But you did, and I do, so I did.

Copying the CustomPC name because you met on our server was always kinda douchebaggy lame.

You know it, I know it.

Your Clan: "Can we be the official Clan of Custom PC".
    Custom PC: "No".
Your Clan: "Well let's just call ourselves Custom PC Clan anyway".
    Custom PC: "Meh".

What's most absurd is that two lots of you did it, and you all use the same name.

well we did ask if we could call the clan cpc clan, and were given permission to use the name so long as we stated we were unofficial, which we do on our website

i dont think i have the email anymore, as it was back in 2005

Yes, I remember it and the discussion Gareth and I had about it. There was never any point in CPC getting butthurt because a clan wanted to use the same name. There still isn't.

It would be nice, though, if I didn't have to continually tell people we only have one BC2 server. Something I was having to do, until I posted a disambiguation here.

Then further clarification was required, so I gave it.

well mate that just proves how much you really know, we have never asked to be the official custom pc clan as you put it, if my memory serves me correct it was halonil from the old forums that pushed for this and spammed it. all we did do was have a discussion with Gareth ogden and asked if it was ok to name ourselves as we did, to make sure if he had no issues with it or infringed on any copyrights etc, we were asked to include the title "the unoffical" in our website. again this was a request from the editor of the magazine and not something we dreamed up

we called ourselves the CPC clan as we met on the forums , if we were so desperate to be the offical CPC clan why do you think we have the web address of cpcbattlefilds.com, because it shows where we began in BF2 where there was none of your "official servers"

another point that just proves you have no idea what you are talking about is your statement of
"Copying the CustomPC name because you met on our server was always kinda douchebaggy lame."

we all actually met in the gaming forum and was a case of a few players who wanted to play as part of a team, hell i hadn't even been on any of the official servers at that point and we played BF2 which there was no so called official server......................

just to inform you as well we were actually asked if we wanted to run for example the Custom PC battlefield 2 server (from Gareth Ogden ifrc) but we declined as we are quite happy in our own full server at the time, as we are now

don't be such a gobshite and slag off something you really know nothing about as you just come across as a bitter child also if you want to call us douchebags feel free to come over to our forum, you know the one you registered on in 21st of January 2008.

what is annoying/douchbaggery/lame is listening to some overgrown child spitting his dummy out just because we have a similar name

    yet another internet hard man......................:sigh:

Yeah whatever, we talked to Rich, not you. So I wouldn't expect you to have any actual facts at your disposal.

Also, internet hard man. Haha. Good one. You obviously don't even know what that means.

Don't know about BF2. I certainly wouldn't have asked you, but I was on hiatus.

Just to clarify though. Just so you can pull your head out of your arse. Since day one of the very first CPC server it has all been on me. So any decisions that you think so and so made, or you think happened by some kind of strange magic, didn't. I made them, apart from a year between 06-07 when I was living the life of Riley. That year Big G was in charge, and even then he was following the instructions I left him with - get someone to do the day to day admin on the servers so you don't have to.

What I'm saying here is that you really don't know what you're talking about. The only person I've ever talked to was Rich. Anything you're heard came from me, and you got it second hand. So, quite simply, bugger off you silly sod.
