Hello Friends,

i'm a german boy, this is my first casemod. The Idea is not new (i know) and i think you see this style often like in Butterkneter's HL² Mod or Schumi's City 17 Mod. but i try to do my own thing!

Please don't hurt my heart and my work too much, i'm very sorry but my english is really bad ... plz rate this thread, thx


The Idea:
The best movie that i've ever seen was BAND OF BROTHERS,

i love it really! And i love the rusty look from the named cases. Ok i think that match! And the new idea was born.


The Sketches:





The Facts:
- complete rust painting (inside too)
- only orange lights insinde
- a relais to control the light like flare
- U.S. Army and Airborne signs (specially from the 101 division)
- stealth mode
- on the right side of the tower you will find the org BAND of BRTOTHERS stroke
- on the left side a dirty window with bullet holes
- rivets overall
- in the front you will find a very old amperemeter (WW2), 2 ponti's and 4 switches
- it will have LAN handles
- on the top you will find a 120mm fan
- will find inside the case a diesel oil tank with UV react fluid in it
- etc.

Note:
I want to show you here the progresses that i made till it's done. The photos shown are two weeks work till today! Please feel free to give me hints or new ideas. I'm really need comments or reviews ... now it's your turn, what you mean?

My 1'st try to cut out the BAND of BROTHERS branding with Balswood (it was a disaster):


This is the 2'nd try to cut out the letters with (Moosgummi) something rubber like:


Keyboard now with orange LED's:

I will post any progresses (photos) here till my work is done. This was you can see is 2 weeks work.

And from now on, i will post my updates here also! Please stay tuned and give me feedback or new ideas.

Today i put the Letter on the right Site and make the black. Then i mod the front done. You will see Photos later today i think

The "draw" the bullet holes with the dremel, i've got a sketch from a bullet hole in glass and then i take my dremel and there it is.

Sweet mod so far. BOB is deff the best!!! You should work a Ace of Spades playong card somewhere into it to stay with the theme. Just my $0.02

 

little update

*UPDATE*

Today i have shot a few new photos for you, also you can now view my sketches!

I have pasted the stroke on the right site and colored it black. But i think it's not the final version. I try it again i think.


The i have done the lower part from the front with SUPER GLUE


Furthermore i have pasted the army sign on the door.


And here you can see the first Pics of my painting

i have the same case as you, though the door decided to fall off after a month or 2

what we call "hundemarken" is called "dogtags" in english if i remember right.
