In light of my recent report card, I have been banned from my PC untill further notice...actually just on school days, on the weekend I can use it again :blah:

My grades actually weren't terrible, they just didn't meet my usual standard(A/B+)....or should I say, my parents standard?

So I believe now would be a good time to do a little bit of modding to it since I won't be using it very much . . . :dremel:

First off is my PSU. It is a Vantec Stealth 470W PSU. I got it as a Christmas gift, along with some black cable sleeving, but haven't yet modded it, seeing as I've been using it in my PC.
Actually, there won't be much modding to this, just cable sleeving, removing a couple stickers...not sure of anything else.

I'll get a few pics up once I'm finished. For now, I've sleeved all the cables but I ran out of good heat shrink (all I have is crummy RS heatshrink left). I usually get heatshrink from RS, b/c I'm too lazy to look anywhere else, plus I usualy don't care for asthetics. But for my PSU I want some sexy looking sleeving :naughty:. Anyone know of a store chain that carries heat shrink? I pretty much get all my electronics stuff from RS, seeing as I don't know of any other places near by...(would hardware stores have any heat shrink? like home depot or sears)

    Stay Tuned! :cooldude:

I hate that when parents ground you for somethin like that. Oh well, I guess its there way of saying they care....or that we just cant meet there standards. :sigh:

Good luck with the PSU. :D

    is your PSU windowed?

As for selling heat shrink, Im not too sure about any stores that would sell it really, other than rat shack. I would look around online.

i think we have it the worst...to some people sitting at a computer a long time talking/playing games/reading is bad and they think you dont have friends or something...but if i read books all the time and never talked to anyone i dont think my parents would say 'put down that book until you get better grades! did you do your video games for the night?'

i got banned from my computer the other week because i spend to much time on it..... and i'm 18 :sigh:
however in the end it was a good idea, it really opened my eyes as to how much time i do spend on this damn thing.

oh well , i'm of to go find a job now so that i can earn money to pay for computer parts so that i can spend more time on this damn thing.... bye :hip:

my parents used to bitch incessantly until they realised that I actually was learning a lot of usefull electronics stuff and was making money. Now they just give me weird looks and threaten to take my car away.

My mom just pounds the keyboard when I am on it and she is mad at me.

But yes home depot does have shrink tubing. Not to expensive either.
