    Hi,

I am going to be building a new machine, i don't know much about cases but i'm looking for a cheap one, not like £100 on a case because it's mostly going to be old parts and bits.

    Main colour; black.
    Nothing to fancy
Has to have lots of fan spaces, side, top. if poss.

PSU with it would also be good.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I'd go on Ebay and get a cheap Thermaltake case

I know I'm not meant to swear like that... but they're going for under £20 for a decent sized one

What about the Coolermaster Elite 330? £30.

Recommended by Bit-Tech, and I bought one too (for my folks). Pretty good for the money. :)

I agree on the antec 300. It is a great case for a budget build. Its fancy enough while not being to expensive, but it isn't built 'cheap' either.

If you think you're going to get a case including a decent PSU for under £50 I think you'll be disappointed. But if you want a crap PSU, Scan Today Only often feature a Coolermaster RC-330 Black Midi Tower Case/EZcool PSU package for under £30.

The NSK4000 is the NSK4480 without a PSU. The NSK4480 comes with a 380W PSU (Antec EarthWatts series). The 'B' denotes the black version. There's only a silver/black version of the NSK4400.

I recently built a new pc for a colleague around the NSK4480B and even though it's a pretty cheap case it's actually quite nice. And surprisingly quiet.

generally the neatest way to cut a case is using a dremel with the angle grinder disc. I found doing a rough shape then neatening it up with a sanding attachment worked pretty well on an old steel case i had.

Gives me some ideas actually, I've been wanting to try out a couple of theories for case flow, to get cool air to the cpu, might have to pick up a cheap steel case with a bottom mounted psu and give it a go.
