Barton/Thoroughbred 2800

    Is there anyway to tell if an AMD 2800+ is a thoroughbred or a barton from the stepping/something on the core?

    A 2800+ is Barton ... there are no 2800+ Tbreds

    Simple really.

    I *think* that there are Tbred 2800s. In any case, the shape/size of the die could be used to determine it.

    Look at the core of the chip - if it's longer and more elongated than a standard T'bred then it's a Barton...
