Well, my battery for my 12" PB was ... quite beyond normal life (half hour... if I'm lucky)

Checked on apple's site... and wheyhey! recall for dangerously overheating batteries! mine was in the recall field... and bing bang, 3 days later, UPS man knocking at me door... FREE BATTERY!

and they don't even seem to want the old one back...

so... anyone know a way of reinvigorating a Li-Ion battery?

    "dangerously overheating batteries"

You sure you wish to "reinvigorate" your battery?

well yeah, cause there was only less than 1% of those.. that actually did overheat, mine stayed around 35ºc at all times... so i think I'll be safe...

Hmmm, I could do with a spare battery. I'll have to check if it's in the recall :D

My Dad reckons that you can "reinvigorate" a battery by fully decharging it and then putting it in the freezer overnight. Sounds like bollocks to me though :p

or for about 35$ in new liion cells, you can rebuild it good as new. just follow apple's battery calibration guide when youre done. and make sure you have them soldered in the right setup.

Tomm, I believe that only works with ni-cad batteries, because they store energy in crystalline form. All battery chemistries are different, so I don't think it will help liion batteries.

Is this still the old recall? or is there a new one?
I don't believe mine was in the recall field..

but it still holds up several hours, I'm very pleased with the batterylife on my PB.
    Love it to bits.
