I have Windows 7 64-big. Nice proof reading... again....
I can just about managed the recommended specs.
It is going to be great
I'm in! But I must wait till 29th to play
I am suspicious about the low minimum settings I doubt it will run anything close to smooth with those.
Nice, Simply can't wait for this to come out. The Alpha was awesome, the Beta will be awesomer...
It'll play but look like BF2.
Woohoo finally! 27th here we come!
DX10/11 only, at last ! A console port it most definitely ain't .
How will they get this onto a console? I'm not a pc v console troll, it's all gaming to me, but these are the highest specs I've seen for a multi-platform game.
That doesn't appear to be bit-tech's fault. Eurogamer also has the same spelling error. Must be copy and pasted straight from EA?
Time to stress-test this 5870 properly
Easy. Rip out all the high res shadows, backdrops and buildings. Replace with low res bleh. Turn off AA and any other after affects. Set AI to stupid. Remove unnecessary random items. Remove necessary but rarely used items. Set resolution to 1280x720....if you're lucky
On topic - It's going to destroy my system The other half is going to kill me when I start mentioning more upgrades
Grantedly I'm slightly above the recommended, but I ran the alpha flawlessly at 1920x1200 all maxed out. And one would hope there's been some further optimisation since then. So the specs seem realistic for slightly reduced settings.
The minimum specifications are approximately equal to consoles, they can't run the DX10 stuff, but that simply means that some pretties are not available. It is somewhat discouraging however to see my card listed at the recommended level, few more years and I'm going to be due for another upgrade then.
I don't believe you will be required to have a sound card just to play the game. That would be amazing though! I'm glad I'm just within the recommended specs - this never used to happen to me
I don't know what a "GHZ" is, but I know it ain't a measure of frequency.
Glad I have a 64-big edition of Windows though, otherwise I'd be missing out a treat!
My rude sarcasm over, I would love to watch someone playing BF3 (hell, BC2 even) with a 3870.
Any one think a XFX ATi radeon 5830 won't be up for the job? Don't really want to have to buy another graphics card bit poor at the moment.
It'll will run it fine just mid setting and a lack of AA.
