They should have thought the same before releasing the base game as well.

A shame really, i was looking forward to it

So its still a let down from what I've read/seen, the same old stale, broken content.

Is it the end of the line for this franchise now?

Same here, it's why I was looking forward to naval strike.

As sad as it is to admit, I've gotten used to the crappy netcode, I notice when it happens to other people now so I don't feel as mad when it happens to me. I don't get crazy crashing problems etc either though so that helps.

Naval Strike on PC is delayed due to issues.

If it were anyone else but DICE I'd believe in a delay due to bugs. As it stand I assume EA is trying to drive console version sales by holding back the PC version, since when has an 'issue' ever stopped DICE?

BF5 when it comes (and it will, because Electronic Arts) needs a serious direction change, new setting(s), dump a whole bunch of the game modes into the sea, more maps and simpler customisation. As it is I'm barely interested in BF4 these days, if BF5 is just more moderner warfare then the series is dead.

I think given the last 6 months, its actually very likely to be 'issues', than a conspiracy theory to drive console sales. Releasing another game breaking patch would do even more damage to their reputation.

Given many peoples short term memory regarding these things, I don't think it'll dull their want of a new game if it looks good - even if it is broken on release. I'd like to think the main reason CoD died off on the PC is because it became so stale and boring.

From my memory, My guess as why Cod fell off the PC market was from MW2 recieving zero patches, sending the game into a hell of hacked servers and hackers. If theres a single word that could describe MW2's final months is "Infested".

As for Naval Strike being delayed... Im a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad panda...

There weren't any patches? Really? I don't remember that, I do however remember the hackers and the ridiculous matchmaking system, which is precisely the reason I played titanfall for about 2 hours. It's stupid.

I hadn't gotten my hopes up, in fact avoided all hype about it. I do notice the netcode issues. I have witnessed some odd events of death when I should have been in cover. My ping is low and usually play with people that have similar pings.

I guess trusting DICE is overrated.

DICE have failed time and time again with this thing, every patch they bring out fixes one thing and breaks another making the need for another patch to fix and break something else

I have not played for a while now and i am not missing it, i was geared up for playing the DLC with a few beers but it looks like i am just having the beers instead, wont complain about the latter though

i remember everyone crying out for patches and there never being any. I also remember Gamespot reports about it(i think).

Why do you think hacking was so rampant? because Activision and Infinity ward never gave 2 craps about that game after it was released.

EA/DICE are losing this one fast. DLC delayed due to broken game issues after the main game was released to the public broken. A lot of sensible views in line with my own have been posted in the past couple of pages. Ultimately, I'm about done with this now. I gave up hope for a fixed game by the end of March when I heard about the NS delay. I think I'll go install Global Offensive, then patiently wait for Destiny and stick with games from studios who test and fix their games before release.

343i screwed up Halo, EA screwed up everything. At this rate I won't be a multiplayer gamer by the end of the year.

Issues issues everywhere, but not a bug to report? Or they've got 99 issues but a bug ain't one.

Have you seen their patch notes, "fixed an issue...", "fixed an issue..." and so on. They are using issue to speak generally, so when have a fix for the use of bad math for certain char moving physics that sometimes caused the player to go flying though the world are described under the umbrella of an issue. Is the program doing what it should yes, but the outcome is not what was expected, so not a bug, an implementation error then yes? I would deem anything outside of unexpected behaviour as a bug - as it shouldn't be happening like that, whatever the cause, and needs resolving. Fundamentally an issue or bug will both just be a failure point in the software.

Just installed Bad Company 2, if anyone wants to start playing that again? :D I haven't played for a few months but I checked this morning and it's still really populated.

    Well then you're terrible!

Reinstalling BC2 right now, added you on steam, not sure how I'm going to survive a Battlefield game that I can't jet whore in, what's it like having a K/D under 40.0???

The game is quite stable for me at the moment. The only issues I have is the magnifier not magnifying and the crosshairs disappearing.
