"Death Shield" loool

 

I had another couple of rounds of CA last night and actually had fun

 

After a bit more time playing and trying to get my head around the game: I just don't enjoy Battlefield 4. I've genuinely tried, i've dabbled in every gun i've unlocked thus far to see if there's anything that'll suddenly click for me, but nothing is making the game feel playable.

Mostly this is down to it just not feeling as "Hooked up" as in BF3, everything feels clunkier, the weapons more sporadic and getting kills feels more down to whether I'm lucky enough for the game to give them to me, rather than me showing any faster reactions or better accuracy over my opponent(s).

I know I haven't seen everything the game has to offer, but I'm loathe to keep playing, or throw money at Premium, when the base game is just failing to inspire me to continue with what just feels like an uphill struggle just to be even remotely useful to my team, let alone enjoy myself doing it.

 

Naval Strike Rolling Out For All

 

This is what's driven me back to BF3, the mouse acceleration on BF4 (andthe hit detection) makes precise and lower fire rate weapons so frustrating, shotgun slugs are all but useless.

I thought it was me, but a round of Grand Bazaar got me fifty-ish kills with the Spas slug combo, it was brilliant. BF4 jst doesn't let you rely on skill very much.

Speaking of which, anyone play on the Scan BF3 servers?

 

This is why I don't play infantry anymore. In bf3, I was slightly better than average, and didn't find infantry anywhere near as frustrating as it is now in bf4. In bf4, you start firing at someone having started firing first and will lost out on the gunfight a lot of the time and just sit there thinking, erm ok. Pretty sure I never felt so much then as I do in bf4.

And no, premium isn't worth it.

 

Sweet, so I don't have to buy premium then to play Naval Strike.

 

So do the people who actually paid for it get a partial refund?

If you like the slug, stick it in the QBS or M26, works fine in there

 

I very much doubt it, basically EA have just de-valued the premium content, they'll probably compensate premium members with a quadruple XP weekend or something equally as lame.

 

Or a new weapon camo lol.

 

You still have to buy Naval Strike, just now players who didn't get Premium can buy it individually, it's two weeks after premium launch after all.

This is EA we're talking about, it's not free.

So remember at release, when people said that the tanks didn't seem as powerful against inf' as compared to BF3; Well there is your answer.

 

So NS isn't a free update then its just premium split down into separate DLC's to pick and choose what you want to buy?

 

Premium users get access to each expansion two weeks early, everyone else has to wait and they don't get access at all unless they either buy each expansion individually or buy Premium. It was the same for BF3.

TBH, I thought the same as well....

I read that as 'we're giving non premium members NS for free'.

 

Not been able to play this game since finding the megalodon, just cannot find any servers no matter what I choose.

Dice have completly killed this game and I will be glad if they don't make the next game.

 

What platform and modes? There's masses of servers available on PC right now.

Having said that, half the servers in my faves list are unpopulated, which is worse than my BF3 list where only one of about twenty has less than two thirds the limit on it.

 

I've stopped playing the game, I don't like to rage at how crap it is everytime I want to relax.

Never thought I'd say it, but I don't hate the source engine as much anymore, at least it works.
