After hearing about this on bit-tech a some time last year and the being reminded of it again at the start of the year I signed up for the beta. And would you believe my luck I got in. So now here I am wondering if any other bit-tech members either:
    a) signed up and failed
    b) signed up and got in
    c) just didn't care.

Just some quick thoughts to close:
    • the classes need a little bit of balancing, especially with regards to xp gains.
    • playing "healer" in a squad is awesome
    • there needs to be more rewards for working as a squad
    • there should be some reward for winning the match
    • capturing points should serve some function other then just being a spawn point

Any word on the release date? I remember seeing a preview for this months ago, and was interested, then it just kinda died, no one mentioned anything about it.

I've been in the beta since the last phase and I have to say it is pretty fun. I haven't played since the new push though, really should. And I don't believe it acutally is an open beta yet, still closed.

Overall, the game has great potential, especially as a free to play, access from anywhere, online game.

Open beta is erm actually closed beta, you need to be accepted rather then just sign up and get key.

And yeah is good fun, have been playing it during my lunch breaks at work even on my crappy old dell P4 machine. Even though it looks like ass it's still fun to kill a few cartoon men.

Although atm I am finding the low rate at which you earn VP compared to the high cost of items slightly off putting.

Signed up and didn't get a key, a bit disappointed a because I very rarely get to go on my PC as I can't get in the bloody room (unused sofa in the way) so I was planning on playing it on the laptop, :(

I applied and didn't get a key, shame as it would have been something to run on my laptop.

I just tried to sign up for the beta thru the link on their homepage, the page it links you to has another link to another page to fill out a form to sign up, only the second link is broken. How utterly useless. No BF Heroes for me :(

Been playing it for a week now, good game but it's still a while away from getting the balance right.

    Got a key last week.

It's not bad, but has performance and balance issues, and not a lot of depth. Bit of a ball-ache to switch between your 4 Heroes, but it's early days.

If it takes off, it will be a wonderful cash cow through micro-payments. You will earn (or hopefully buy) credits that will allow you to buy new weapons and clothes. Many of the clothes last indefinitely but if you buy an upgraded pistol you only get it for 3 days.

The stated intention was that the game would be perfectly playable without having to pay anything. Too early to tell if the upgrades enough/too much of a difference.

Still, it's currently a novelty and it's been quite enjoyable to play...

great fun, had my key for a while now, got it from a friend who's a valued BF2 player and admin of Total-Gaming network.

i don't really like the third person view, but the system works very well.
