Nice house. The size of the lot it's on rules! Make sure you keep the window sill in the shower dry. I've had to re-do two setups like that because the tenants let water run into the wall.:(

Thanks mvagusta, Frido, & Cheapskate! :D We have been moving stuff all weekend, and are still bringing up carloads! It doesn't seem to have an end to it. lol

Well, I didn't think a picture of a bare garage would be very exciting. This weekend I hope to get my workbenches and project table all set up so I can continue work on BSG. I will take pics of it then. Maybe a before and after shot. :)

Well, I will be setting up shop in one corner of our 3-car garage for the time being (which will still be way more room than what I was working in lol!). But eventually, I want to build me a separate workshop apart from the garage. Then I will be set up the way I've always wanted, and I will finally be able to do automotive projects again, like the long-awaited restoration of my '65 Rambler.

Of course! There is no existing workbench in the garage, and I wouldn't just go out and BUY one. lol

Holy crap, it's been another month since my last update?? Where does the time go? Granted, the whole move thing
has sucked what little free time I have left outa me, but still! I remember not too long ago I was good for an update at
least once a week. Well, it's time I get back to that, especially if I am to have any chance at making Nvision'08 in August!
(yes, I know Battlestar Galactica actress Trisha Helfer (Number Six) will be a guest speaker there) :D

So, here is an actual update, with pics: I got my LCD panel from Moddersmart,
so I immediately set the lettering in place to see how it will look. First I tore the paper backing off
around the cutouts, and got the lettering lined up and ready.

Here's a closeup of just the cutouts. They look funky by themselves, but they'll line up with the centers of the lettering.

I took a red ccfl and held it behind the panel.

Then I placed the lettering over the cutouts and lined it all up. Here's a shot with the red ccfl.

The lettering faces will be painted to match the logo, so it will be easier to read. Also, not shown is the
smaller "BATTLESTAR" lettering that will eventually be placed above it.

The other item I got in was the vinyl landing deck decal I had made up. I drew up a vector image in
Illustrator and sent it to Liquid Sticker Designs to be printed on vinyl. Special thanks go to Lee Stringer for
helping me out with the design! He was nice enough to send me a few reference pics of the actual CG model. :D
    [IMG]

Here it is in position. It will obviously be trimmed down, and the power/reset buttons will be cut out as well.
Time permitting, I will be adding some chase led's for running lights down both sides. :)

That looks amazing. I couldn't quite visulaize how it would look in my head but seeing it in real life it's breath taking it really is.

And some major Kudo's to getting help from Lee Stringer!!! It kinda makes this like an official project for the show :D

Any more realistic and it might fly off into deep space on you while you're sleeping. Color me impressed.
