Is it the BBC gone too far PC? What about other cultures - Jewish/far eastern etc?? or is it a valuable asset to cultural diversity of the BBC network? Discuss
Its like the whole MOBO (music of black origin ) awards thing, If there was a MOWO (music of white origin) awards there would be a huge outcry.
lol. Comments like that never fail to crack me up. It's simple, black people in this country are the minority. An oppressed one at that, therefore when shows and gatherings such as the MOBO's appear, it's a way of black people all around the nation to celebrate how far they've came in a country that's not native to them. They are the minority and pose no actual danger to the majority. Besides, there is no actual point to the 'MOWO's' because it's like having a restaurant inside a restaurant, it simply makes no sense. However, a restaurant inside a department store (which I like to think a country is) makes more sense. Think about it.
Equality means equality, is that not what every oppressed minority wants. I for one just wish that everyone were treated equaly, there should be no difference, by having such events they (the organisers) are making a difference - they are saying that a black person is not the same as a white/brown/whatever person.
