Yet another busty actress advertising some new film.

Sure, I'd do her, I just don't want her in my car program. I think we went through this a couple of pages back.

I think the problem is that Top Gear is turning into car themed light entertainment, I still watch and enjoy the show but it is getting rather formulaic. I thought today's episode was pretty good although the whole "oh woops we broke something, lets run away" thing is getting a tad old. Come on we know that it's either scripted or the beeb is paying for it so let's just move on and stop pretending that they did something naughty.

It was a pretty fun episode, but I really dread SIARPC now. It's like... they're trying to scrape the ratings barrel. "HEY THIS CHICK IS BISEXUAL" because as we all know, the most interesting people in interviews are the bi chicks.

IF they got Sir Stirling Moss on there, now that I would watch. But hot chicks with fun bedroom preferences are no more than a good reason to check reddit again or go for a quick ****.

started well, but went downhill in the second half really (too much of the usual scripting)

SIARPC was cringe worthy, watching a JC hit on whoever the girl was, is not my idea of entertainment.

I actually know a bit about this shockingly enough. I know a guy who does some boring job at the BBC, and we were drinking in the pub one sunday night, when all of a sudden, he starts talking about his job.. well that was it. I nearly nodded off, untill top gear came into the mix of the dreary conversation. At the sound of top gear, I tilted my head to actually listen.

Apparently, because of certain things Top Gear has done in the past, the BBC is scripting Top Gear alot more, making it silly seeing as thats it's main selling point so to speak. But in my mind, top gears best selling point was the fact that some of the best bits wernt scripted. Clarksons jokes about prossies apparently made up the BBC's mind to stop the three from dicking around more than they should.

I then went onto to ask him, well if thats true, what about the Mexican joke etc etc. He said he just meant the films they do, not the audience, SIARPC stuff thats shot on wednesday. It's the only place they can get away with it.

If it's actually true or not I don't know but he says it's most likely true, but this was the drunken ramblings of quite frankly one of the most boring people i've ever met.

SIARPC has for some time been the Beebs way of having guests that would normally be trying to promote their book/film/worthless tat on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

The more obvious script is also a backlash from the Ross/Brand Sachsgate thing. None of these things are the fault of Top Gear, hence Clarkson in particular still trying to push the ill conceived boundaries, its more to do with Daily Mail readers and the like complaining about things that they have neither seen or heard and are just jumping on the bandwagon. A real shame.

Actually, most of the plowing on smaller roads in Norway is done using standard tractors with a snow blower attachment. Councils sign contracts with farmers that d the plowing. It works pretty well. :) It's in the cities where the councils do the work that things tend to go wrong. (I won't get started on the whole road-salt rant)

SIARPC has been this way for a good few seasons now. Just people who want to advertise and promote their stuff. Bring back JK I say.

BEing an episode behind at this end of the world, I have to agree about SIARPC.
Most of the time, it's a complete waste.
Also, there were several moments in the last few seasons that SERIOUSLY made me cringe (Clarkson going "in the world" in the USA Special almost made me throw up... true story).
HOWEVER, this season has so far been substantially more enjoyable than the last two.

The banter between the boys seems to have been turned up a notch at times, and while some of the "film" segments are scripted, some of it still made me giggle ("I'm and Eagle!!!!")

Was an ok episode, enjoyed some of the combine film. Best bit was definately Jeremy jumping head first into the snow. Was surprised they actually plowed the whole road, was expecting it to catch fire or something halfway through.

When they started painting the plough with diesel I thought... yeah, there's going to be more fire.

Wasn't. But the tip was kinda cool.

I know that. It's not that he used it...him using it is funny. Him overacting it to an extend that would make my 10 year old brother go "what a retard", that got to me.

Yeah so this is the crappy segment. Also, she's driving an automatic. Everyone else ever has always had to drive a manual, so... wtf?

Look at her left arm just before JC first comments on her stupid glove. Car changes gear, arm doesn't move from the wheel. It ain't a paddle shift :p

Edit: Pieface, he didn't? Now I am starting to lose faith

Well spotted and this confirms it is indeed an auto.

How ever in last weeks siarpc Simon Pegg drove the same car (LC10 PHF) and it was obviously a manual.
