Did'nt think it was that bad even though I didn't know what sweeny was :)

but I do think top gear has set such as high standard in the past, and will continue to also be fair they've started of with some top guests, not like some of the usual down & out's you've never heard of, forget there names

Sweeny was absolute ********. Other than that it wasn't too bad.. Although I DID skip the SIARPC as I had no clue who the bloke was and had no interest, either.

Indeed, been in loads of other stuff as well, I remember him from Two Guys and a Girl way back when. Other notiable role that springs to mind is Deadpool in X-Men Origins Wolverine.

I thought it was good fun. I also found last weeks very missable. The first episode was really enjoyable. James May's review of the Panda was great.. I can only hope too that cars with a map of the Nurburgring on them are relegated to only those who can afford a new spine every Christmas.

I must say that I enjoyed the SIARPC for the last two weeks.
"Joey" and Ryan Reynolds were great guests, and to see Reynolds get that high up the board in spite of at least one seriously missed shift is pretty surprising.
Not to mention that I actually found him funny and sympathetic (much like JK in a way).

The Panda/Corsa bit was great, and I partially agree with May on his point.
The Sweeny bit was rubbish. It would have fit right into the sup-par series 17, and was a bit disappointing after season 18's first two episodes were really strong.

edit:As for who RR is: How can you miss that?
Amityville Horror, Green Lantern, Buried, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Adverntureland, Smokin' Aces, Van Wilder, Harold & Kumar go to whitecastle
Yes, there's a lot of crap in there, but there are some rather good, if light-hearted movies in there.

I thought the first episode was great. The second was decent. Now, I haven't actually watched it yet, but the third sounds like it's back to the way of the last two or three series (ie. rubbish). I will get round to watching it at some point but I'm not really looking forward to it to be honest.

After a lot of people complained Andy Wilman and Clarkson agreed to try to bring it back to the way it used to be. You can see where they've tried but it must be hard for them, especially as their popularity has skyrocketed as a result of it becoming silly.

Well that episode was excellent. Though the lass behind and to the right (as we view it) of Mr. Fassbender (SIARPC) was distracting due to the way she was mentally abusing him all the way through that segment.

I love it when they get the ex forces guys on, they were genuinely nice chaps and had a good sense of humour going on, which made the offroading segment a properly entertaining piece.

    Balls of British steel.

Other than those top guys I found myself thinking 'hmmm, they really have been getting some very nice artistic shots of stuff these days' upon seeing the slo-mo stuff in the snow. Should top gear give that reaction? Who knows but a drastic improvement over the last couple of shows.
