SIARPC is okay but I just wish they would stop asking the croud if they want to see their laptime, you know your going to see it anyways and the crowds usualy lack lustre chorus of yeh grates to say the least.

Asdfghjkl I just typed a long reply and the server derped and logged me out -.- Here I go again:

I knew Amy was a petrol head! I've been a huge fan for years! :) I think the SIARPC has been great for these first few episodes, no complaints from me here because I loved Mick Fleetwood last week as well, being a massive Fleetwood Mac fan too! I'm amazed that Sound City wasn't mentioned or plugged because the episode was perfectly timed along with its release. Neil, if you were referring to Mick as an "old fart" you must not be a fan of Fleetwood Mac's 40+ year career or the incredible music they've created in that time? Come on, go and stick on "Rumours" and tell me that isn't some amazing music! :D

Damian Lewis - awesome guy, interesting, current, great interview.

Mick Fleetwood - He's 6'6" and one of the best drummers in the history of music. Also loves cars. Enough said.

Amy Macdonald - Petrol head, great singer, interesting guest, total sweetheart. 100% Marriage material. Need I say more?

SIARPC is alive and well :thumb:

I am with Unicorn on the SIARPC bit.

    As for the last episode:
    Great.
Clarkson explained the GT86 beautifully, besides that grin (the best explanation of that car came from Ireland's The Final Gear). Also - Clarkson is wrong about the looks of it, as well as how you chose one. :p

The road trip was fun, the news section was funny, the SIARPC segment was ace. I really enjoyed the whole episode.

    SPOILER

Jeremy Clarkson subjects the new Kia Cee'd to a thorough road test involving eels, curry, a rock legend, an American cop, and a rather unusual game of rugby involving James May.

Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is in Mexico for a nervous road test of the Mastretta sports car, a trio of hot hatchbacks tear it up on the test track and another top celebrity takes their turn as the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

    SIARPC SPOILER

I read somewhere it's Lewis Hamilton.

That was a great episode, good review of the hot-hatches, good to see Lewis smash Sebastian's time in the old Suzuki Liana and a great game of car rugby. It has been a pretty solid season so far. :D

Yep, pretty good episode. The Kia feature was pretty funny, although my sources
    Chemistry teaching fatherman
say that the sodium explosion was fake.

I was thinking that it would've been a pretty good episode for kia, though. The small amount of repairs on those 10 cars would probably been less than an ad campaign on another channel, which I don't particularly approve of.

On a side note, I watched Brian Cox afterwards on BBC HD. The closing add for the HD channel was the Top Gear jaguar train and Jeremy screaming 'poo has come out!!!' Brilliant!

Brain Cox is wrong and horrible and hateable. I wish no more than for him to be banished from this humble planet of ours.

He's amusing and potentially sexy. He's bringing science to the younger generation and that can't be a bad thing. More Brian Cox please.

Harsh. He has done more to get young people into science's & explain very complex processes and systems in an easily digestible way, than most other people.

If you no likey. Change the channel

REALLY liked yesterday's episode. The hot hatchback test was good, but the Cee'd review was brilliantly harebrained and had those random celebrity cameos we got in the last few seasons (Sienna Miller in a glovebox, Ross Kemp in the boot etc) that are both unexpected and funny. Good to see Lewis enjoying himself and having some time to explain his move without either team looking over his shoulder - all round, a great episode.

    Shame the professionals don't agree.

Can't say I caught much of last night's episode, I'd had a trip to the pub and snoozed through most of it! A re-watch is definitely on the cards tonight.

I will weigh in on the Cox debate though - he's a better TV presenter than real-life lecturer, he was very... Uninspiring as a lecturer, especially after his cohort Jeff Forshaw (who is fantastic, I think he's been on the telly too).
