Yeah the close knit crew is described in the book.

It never occured to me that his writing this and outing himself as the Stig was the reason for him being disliked now, doh! Though I never read the papers or watch much TV so I guess I never caught the whole media hype surrounding it.

He did mention that he was feeling it was time to move on though and try get back into racing, which could have been one reason for moving away from TG, guess the racing isn't doing too well if he's on 5th Gear.

now that there is a new Stig do you think they are going to set a new aura different aura around the Stig like he knows best and he is all mighty almost like a roofless Stig e.g. give me that **** a aggressive stig maybe

 

Having seent he 21 Dec and Boxing day specials now, some thoughts;

Did anyone else cringe when Clarkson went "In the world" while driving the SLS? The line is good, but it was overplayed and just generally **** IMHO.

Boxing day was funny-ish, but so scripted.

I sure hope the season will be Good. Been watching the old ones through on the second screen for days now.. Some of the challenges just get me every time.

I enjoyed that, bit of a shame Hamster didn't spend longer on the history of the 911 - but I suppose it has had a bit too much Top Gear coverage in recent years.

I liked what they did with Tiff / James driving the atom.

 

Clarksons interviewing always makes me cringe.

Where can I get a Skoda Yeti with Sienna Miller in the glovebox?

Ye I was surprised to see Tiff on top gear! Don't mind because I watch fifth gear. I would love 1 of those atoms and race bikes on the road!

 

They did say they sent the new Stig out in a range of sports cars & his lap times were broadly the same as the old Stig's in the same cars, so...
