They've had some brilliant guests so far this series, looks like they pulling out the big guns. Should make for a fun interview...

He's got a film (Focus) out towards the end of the month, so there's the reason he's there.

    Edit:

Confirmed in the spoiler below as his co-star Margot Robbie in on the show too.

Jeremy Clarkson tests the new BMW M4 at the track before switching to another BMW, the space-age, hybrid powered i8, for a revealing trip up the A1 to Whitby. When he gets there, and fuelled by a portion of fish and chips, Clarkson must decide which of the two he would rather take for the drive home.

Also in this programme, Richard Hammond marks the imminent demise of the legendary Land Rover Defender with a heart stopping attempt to drive one straight up the side of a dam.

Meanwhile, James May makes a rare trip to the Top Gear track to test the brand new, 500 horsepower Mercedes-AMG GT.

The stars in the Reasonably Priced Car are actress Margot Robbie and Hollywood superstar Will Smith.

Most guests are only on the show to pimp their new film/tv series/book/album etc, that doesn't bother me really. I mean, it's Will Smith, come on... :D

I have all of his albums and have seen 90% of his films. I guess I'll tune for this...

Will Smith looked like he'd been punched in the balls when he lost to Margot! He seemed to have watering eyes throughout - maybe he's in pain from the back surgery?

Anyway, I didn't enjoy SIARPC much (I never think the A-list celebrities are really suited to Top Gear - they never seem comfortable), but everything else was pretty epic.

Well as they pointed out at the end, the Landrover winch climb was utterly pointless. Then of course the BMW I8, touted as 130+mpg and only clocking 31mpg....

Have to say, I never thought I'd prefer the LaFerrari over the Porche or McLaren but that V12 soundtrack was just head-explodingly good. Not a bad looking car either....

McLaren hands down for me... Ferraris and Porsches fill me with nothing but 'meh'... Hell the BMW i8 filled me with more excitement than the laFerrari or the 918...

And the McLaren/Porsche/Ferrari cluster**** over the 3-way test is probably in case the test makes their car look bad against the competition...

The Ferrari test was very enjoyable to watch and while I do indeed think the car is gorgeous, And sounds like a monster I would sooner have the McLaren or the BMW i8 over the Porsche and the Ferrari.

Start in a Car was good quite enjoyed it and seeing another very quick time is always a joy to watch. the Peugeot piece at the end was silly and typical top gear and I was laughing myself into a painful side within moments, despite how predictable it all was.

Really hope they can get all 3 cars round the track together and we can see whats the scores on the doors, should be good when it does happen eventually.

I actually WANTED a 306 back in 1996, but they refused me a test drive.
I wandered across town, tested & ordered a Rover 200 the same day.
